KESSELSKRAMER
LOS ANGELES
Select Work 2012-2015
In 2012, I co-founded Kesselskramer Los Angeles, the LA outpost of the European creative hot shop. I was the ECD and at times Managing Director. We were a full service advertising agency, a production company and an art gallery.
The agency started with 3 partners and we grew it to 23 employees in two years, tripling our billing year after year until I left in 2015 to pursue other creative endeavors. From running Global campaigns for Diageo brands to helping create MOCAtv, the World’s first art channel on Youtube to re-branding Weedmaps, the “yelp” for medical and recreational marijuana.

MOCA TV LAUNCH AND REPOSITIONING
World’s first art channel on youtube.
We helped create the world's first art channel on youtube. We positioned MOCAtv, not as a video extension of the Museum, but as a global initiative that aims to democratize art around the world. Our content strategy would lead with pop culture content (Bjork, Death Grips, Die Antwoord ) and then follow-up with more in-depth look at some of the most fascinating artists of our time.
Art is for you.
We also repositioned MOCA by giving artists and members a voice. We placed videobooths in all locations so they could share their point of view, breaking down the rigid museum walls. New membership’s increased far beyond expectations and this ethos of making art for everyone has spread across the entire institution, including curatorial efforts such as the Urs Fischer Exhibit where more than 1500 members worked with the artist to build an installation.

CITIZENM is a hotel chain conceived by KK Amsterdam and London. It’s the hotel for the mobile citizen, designed for the modern business traveller. We were in charge of their hardest task yet, expanding into the US market, starting off in Times Square, New York.

We had stretch limos circulating Times Square to announce our no frills launch.
And partnered with local favorites.

Our gallery space became a creative collaboration between our teams and world renowned artists.
